Hangar Space

PHF rents a variety of hangars for aircraft storage. Hangars include: Box hangars, T-hangars with electric bi-fold doors, and T-hangars with manual sliding doors.

Airport Land Available for Development

  • Located on the southeast side of the airport, approximately 25 acres of airport land is available for development.  The majority of this property is adjacent to aircraft aprons and is ideal for aeronautical development.  Utilities are readily available, and all sites are considered “shovel ready.”  The property is easily accessible via I-64 and publicly maintained roads.  Please contact Melissa Cheaney, Assistant Executive Director, at mcheaney@flyphf.com for additional information.

Mobile Home Park Management – RFP # 362019

The Peninsula Airport Commission is seeking an experienced Mobile Home Park Management Company to manage the Patrick Henry Mobile Home Park located at the Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport (PHF). Respondents must offer a proposal that will meet the scope of services, qualifications and general description of work activities identified in this Request for Proposals.

Voice Over IP Phone (VOIP) System Project – IFB  02-0219

The Peninsula Airport Commission is requesting bids from qualified companies to provide a new Voice Over IP Phone System at the Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport.

All bids must be received in a sealed envelope no later than 2pm March 29, 2019.

A pre-bid meeting will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 11AM in the Airport Commission Room. The project will be reviewed and there will be an opportunity for questions. This meeting is not mandatory but highly encouraged for all interested parties.

A tour of the facilities is MANDATORY for all interested in bidding on Part 1 of this project. Please contact Jared Alexander at jalexander@flyphf.com to schedule a tour. Tours must be completed by Monday, March 25, 2019. Bids for Part 1 from companies who have not toured the facility will not be accepted.

Airport Beacon and Tower Removal and Replacement – IFB 01-0319

The Peninsula Airport Commission is requesting bids from qualified companies to provide for the removal and replacement of the airport beacon and tower at the Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport. All bids must be received in a sealed envelope no later than 2pm Thursday April 11, 2019. Bids will be opened and read out loud in the Banquet Room of the Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport at 2pm on April 11, 2019.

Crane Operations On or Near the Airport

If you will be operating a crane in the vicinity of the airport, an FAA airspace permit may be required. The permit must be filed at least 45 days prior to the start of the crane operation. The FAA will issue a permit based on the height and location of the crane. The permit may include restrictions on when and how high the crane can be operated. To determine if a permit is required, use the FAA’s Notice Criteria Tool found here. If a permit is required, an FAA form 7460 must be completed. The form can be completed online here. If the crane will be located on airport property, a permit is mandatory.
